Any big animal veterinarian, farmer, or someone who has spent time engaging with pigs can attest to their intelligence.
According to one research conducted in Brazil, the world's fifth-largest pork producer,
all 44 participating pig farmers agreed that pigs can feel pain when interviewed.
Participants also unanimously agreed that pigs are sentient entities capable of feeling stress, anxiety, and joy.
A staggering 73% of farmers felt that the pigs in their care are clever.
Pigs are said to be the world's fifth most intellectual mammal.
